The traditional waiver's children's assistive technology limit is $500 a plan year, far below a frame's cost. Mi Via's larger budget can buy related goods, but its standards exclude goods that are primarily recreational or diversional and name home schooling materials as excluded, so a request has to rest on your child's documented condition. Approval is decided case by case in your child's individual service plan, usually with an OT or PT recommendation attached, and most waivers pay only after regular Medicaid or private insurance has said no. No state approves play equipment automatically.

🧩 A budget does not have to cover the whole build
